Sacramento, CA - Elk Grove City Councilwoman Stephanie Nguyen's Campaign for State Assembly announced today the endorsement of California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis.

Nguyen has received endorsement from the California Democratic Legislative Women's Caucus and from various women's political rights organizations including A PIpeline Project for API Women, CA Women's List, National Women's Political Caucus of California and Women's Political Caucus - Los Angeles.
In 2017, Nguyen was unanimously appointed to serve as the Councilmember for District 4 in the city of Elk Grove, making her the first Asian-American woman to serve as a Councilwoman in Sacramento County's second largest city. In 2018, Nguyen was elected citywide with over 65% of the vote to continue her term as the only woman on the Elk Grove City Council.
Nguyen is a Democrat. She and her husband of 13 years have lived in Elk Grove for over 18 years. Nguyen is the Executive Director at Asian Resources Inc.
